Todd J. Leon is a partner in the Princeton, N.J. office of Hill Wallack LLP. He is a
member of the firm’s Litigation Division, and its Insurance Coverage, Trial &
Insurance Defense, and
Product Liability
practice groups.
Mr. Leon focuses his practice upon cases involving complex insurance coverage and
contractual disputes. He has extensive experience litigating a wide variety of claims
at the trial and appellate levels of both state and federal courts.
Representative Matters
Since joining Hill Wallack LLP in 1999, Mr. Leon has represented primary and excess
insurers, policyholders, third-party administrators and producers. His work includes the
following highlights:
- Represents clients on a broad range of third-party insurance coverage claims, including issues spanning bad faith, policy exclusions, additional insurance, contractual indemnification, and "Other Insurance"
- Litigates multi-million dollar construction defect claims arising out of residential and commercial projects
- Helps clients regarding an assortment of automobile coverage matters, such as issues related to coverage, liability and uninsured/underinsured motorists coverage
- Advises clients on first-party property claims under both personal and commercial policies
- Handles coverage claims under both Directors & Officers and Errors & Omissions policies
Mr. Leon has presented multiple in-house seminars to insurers on coverage issues ranging from the duty to defend to construction defects.

Mr. Leon is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey
(1998) and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
(1998), and to the Federal Bars of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey
(1998), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
(2011), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit
(2001). He earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden and his B.A. in English and Political Science from Rutgers College.
